Hypnap TruRest combines science, human nature and cutting edge design to help you achieve deep rest and reap important health benefits.
Hypnap Co-founder Chloe Hill was on an 18 hour flight to Singapore in the summer of 2012 when she got the idea for the TruRest. An avid traveler with an inability to sleep on an airplane or sitting up, she often resorted to leaning her head against the seat in front of her or resting her head on her folded arms on the tray table. She found little comfort or relief this way but she recognized benefit in the concept of leaning forward. In wanting to solve this problem for herself and others she set out to create a solution. Having a design background, she sketched ideas, assembled and tested prototypes, examined research, consulted with health professionals and worked with an industrial designer to develop the TruRest.
Hypnap Co-founder Darryl Yang, is a former computer programmer and consultant for large companies and start-ups. A fellow avid leisure and business traveler, he understood intimately the discomfort on airplane flights, and joined forces with Chloe to launch the TruRest.
